Where i got the water from there was also a mesh for a nice rock that I saw that originally wanted to use a place holder for a rock that would be made in the future however making rock mesh wasnt very easy so it stuck until the end. All the rocks are unique in its hsapes and sides and i also merged them together to make them look even more different just so i can somewhat say its my own work but not entirely, the mesh had a material already added but i took that out for my own materials.

In todays lesson we were creating start screen concept ideas on Photoshop. I started by grabbing a picture screenshot i took of the start of my game as that is a good place to start off with. I added 5 rectangular boxed and used a colour I grabbed from the background. As for the text i added a OCR A Std font type and made the purple colour I got little lighter. I added another black box to add it to fill a small gap at the bottom. The title i created in illustrator using the way Owen taught us previously in typography to may this sort of squiggly writing to break up the straightness of the font. The colour wasn't right on the text so i used the same purple colour as the boxes but during the process i accidentally filled the background which created this distorted blur effect that i rather like and kept.

This is what my first page looks like, it is heavily incomplete but has the basic layout of what i want it too look like. The navigation bar works and as the links link to the pages i have made but only one is currently designed. The left hand side was supposed to have my face and a small description of me in it. The huge purple area is where my updates would have gone if i was able to make it.
The first page is responsive and fits the diameter of  and iPhone 6s, the way i layed it out shows my profile and underneath is the navigation bar.
This is the coding i used to make the website there isn't alot on there as i didn't really do much in general

This is what the second page i created looks like, its rather dull but it has my pictures on there which looks nice
This is he code used for the second page, there is alot of copy and pasted box to cut down work load

Dojo

Along with the bridge the Building in the center also went through the same ordeal of multiple changes. At first we had a guild hall image of a Tudor style building with a central bar that you would be place directly in front of the entrance that greets you inside. It had a second floor with arrange seating and a billboard, the atmosphere would be built around hearing noises of chatter laughing and clinks of glass hitting table similar to when you go to a pub. The basic ordeal was created before hand and implemented into the game but it did not have the feel needed, this is due to the conflicting themes being made floating Tudor buildings were never meant to see the light of day and nor will they instead to add to the oriental theme i asked Isiah to make me a Dojo and sent him pictures for reference, the first one was near perfect in looks and size and we added it in to check to see what it would be like and to our surprise we really enjoyed the way it looked, at least i did. It was all placed as one solid mesh and by that time we didn't realise how to UVmap so texturing the building went awkwardly but it wasn't a problem as it was a prototype dummy just to see its looks scaling the building just right was also a tedious task and it wasn't helped by snap to grid. This building stayed where it was for the process of the game development as it was satisfactory and wasn't edited until the second to last week. Isiah didn't like how basic it looked and he learnt multiple skills on the process of this game and wanted to rework the building into its finished state. The building was exported as 7 individual parts floor, frame work, panels, windows, roof and walk way this way we can texture the parts accordingly to what authentic Japanese Dojos would look like minus the fact we have a golden roof. All textures are from the starter content as making them ourselves was an impossible task during the time we had. The final product is outstanding in its looks and I am proud of how it looked and how hard Isiah worked on this piece.

Bridge

There were multiple stages the bridge went through to get to a perfect state, Isiah has all the evidence of its creation due to my requests. At first before the water i had planned for the bridge to be old stone. It first was a plain bridge with sides how ever i did not like how this looked and how it felt to i wanted Isiah to create it again but with outsides and yet again it wasn't what i had in mind I wanted a bridge that looked more like it would crumble rather than it being a pristine. This was troublesome with the 3DS software to make as it wouldnt look authentic without it having go through vigorous work and that would take too much time which inevitably we couldn't do and was partly the reason for change. The bridge shown is one of several bridges created after the ideal changes we discussed. The Japanese style bridges are made out of a hard wood and i wanted to capture that as more of a planked wood look like shown, at first it was a vague wooden feel and i allowed Isiahs free reign on what it should look like and he produced three unique designs but it still wasn't right as they looked to uniform. The planked feel of this bridge was perfect  and we stuck with this.

In owens lesson we learnt how to create masks in Photoshop and create sketch looking images. How we did this is going to image and desaturating to make it black and white. On our image layer I went to mask and filled  it with black. Using the brush tool and white it makes a scratching effect.

New ordeal

Originally we wanted a bottomless pit that the water fell down and in the center would been a floating bridge to a Tudor style building in the middle on a floating crystal but here were multiple confusions with doing this as our idea and trying to make the bottomless pit was rather difficult and our image of the bridge was both different so we decided to come up with a different idea by filling the basin with water and having a more oriental feel to the game. We had a vague idea of making it ghostly inside the tudor guild hall anyways but now we have a fixed idea of what we want. Our new idea focuses the shogunate era of Japan and you are playing as a dead general who has died and awoken in the after life surrounded by blue lights and graves of the soldier he once lead and as he walks towards the shrine door he opens up to see the dojo his master once taught him the ways of the samurai but inside is a a coffin, and with in the coffin is his suit of armor staring back at him. The story telling is going to be hard to pull of but it be nice to explore visual story telling of a past war and what not.
After creation of the waterfall texture I asked Isiah to create me a cylinder mesh that I can scale to cover the basin of our hole I created in Unreal Engine 4 to add my waterfall texture onto it. The mesh that was originally made for the waterfall had a double mesh thickness that I didn't like so I asked Isiah to get rid of the back polymesh to make it thinner but it also had a plus side of making it a one way screen you can only see the texture from one side which in the end benefited us most.

In todays lesson i added three new boxes which are going to act as my navigation bar. I also went and re-aligned the green blue box in the left section. We also went over with Dwayne about making JQuery slide shows and some lightboxes which for the slideshows was rather easy the light box i might need to revise over but i dont know if ill use any of them as of yet.

We made this by using the grid tool to make the rule of thirds then i used shapes
in photoshop it is different as you can sue a view tool instead of permanent lines. shortcut  Ctrl+' to toggle the view.

Today I made a phtooshop file of what i want my website to look. These are split into 3 main sections, 1,2,3 as section 1 is going to be fixed along with section 2 but section one is going to hold a profile picture of me and a small about me, section 2 is going to have  navigation bar of my projects and section 3 is going to be a home page of updates. this will have a scrolling affect that goes under Athene and its going to look cool.

This is what i have coded as i said i split them into section and all i need is a navigation bar and update.
